Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Combine in a buttered 1 quart casserole:
- 1/2 uncooked regular rice
- 3 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp margarine
- 1 tsp vanilla
- fresh grated nutmeg
- 1/2 cup raisins
