Make your mashed potatoes ahead of time, then proceed:
- 1 lb ground meat (bison or beef)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 stalk celery, diced
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup tomato juice or red wine
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- bouillon cube (don't reconstitute)
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 can mushroom soup (no msg)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- mashed potatoes
